The Best Place to Stay in Park City with Kids

I’ve stayed at this Park City Airbnb three times now. Twice in summer, once for our family ski trip this February. Every time, I check availability to book it again before we even leave.

Why This Airbnb Works for Families

The best place to stay in Park City, UT with kids. One bus stop from Deer Valley. One bus stop from Main Street old town. Walking distance to DV Cafe (little breakfast spot on the lake with patio dining and local goods). You can literally hike out the back door onto mountain trails that overlook Main Street, or walk over to the St. Regis for summer brunch.

My kids (2 and 4) are obsessed with the bus. My 2-year-old yells “BUS!” every time he sees one. They hated watching buses pass by that we weren’t getting on. The free Park City transit system connects everything, and this Airbnb sits perfectly on the route.

It’s equipped like someone actually travels with kids. Pack n play (good quality, we used it), humidifiers, games, full kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms, two bedrooms. Everything you need without hauling it from home or scrambling to buy it there.

The kitchen meant we could do big skier breakfasts before hitting the slopes. The laundry was clutch for wet mittens, yogurt incidents, and pre-departure clothes prep. Having two bathrooms with two kids under 5? Non-negotiable.

Location: Deer Valley and Main Street

This is what sold me the first time and why I keep coming back… because it is THE best place to stay in Park City with kids.

For skiing: One bus stop gets you to Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge. We did this every morning during our ski trip. Easy drop-off for ski school, ski valet right there, everything centralized.

For Main Street: Walk or take the bus to old town. Restaurants, shops, galleries, all the Park City energy without staying right in the chaos.

For summer: Hiking trails out the back door. Walk to DV Cafe for breakfast. Actually use Park City as a base for mountain adventures instead of just skiing.

Why Not Stay Slopeside?

Slopeside at Deer Valley runs $1,000+ per night. This Airbnb gives you the same access via the free bus system for a fraction of the cost.

The bus rides are part of the experience. My kids loved them. And honestly? Having that 10-minute buffer between the slopes and where you’re staying is nice. You’re not in ski resort mode 24/7.

Plus you get Old Town access, which you don’t have staying at most ski-in/ski-out properties.

The One Downside to The Best Place to Stay in Park City

Stairs. Park City is built on the side of a mountain, and this Airbnb reflects that. If your family has mobility issues, this isn’t the right fit. The location is worth it for everyone else.

Would I Book It Again?

Already planning trip number four. That’s the answer.

What makes this Airbnb special: It’s perfectly placed between the slopes and Old Town Park City. It’s a well-equipped, perfectly located base camp for families who want to actually experience Park City – the skiing, the hiking, the town, the mountain culture.

Book it before someone else does (me).
